Dennis’s early years were spent in the south-end of Louisville, where he formed lifelong friendships and memories. He attended the same schools and church as his close friend, Charles (Chuck) Benson, sharing countless moments from elementary school to high school. Dennis was active in both football and baseball at Manual High School, and his dedication to excellence extended to his academic achievements as well. He was president of the student council, a member of the national honor society, and a senior class officer. Chuck Benson fondly recalls Dennis as a consistently cheerful and determined individual, qualities that foreshadowed his future successes.
In 1991, Dennis founded Provalco, a company that became a beacon of innovation under his leadership. Colleagues like John Yurcak remember Provalco as one of the most enjoyable workplaces, largely due to Dennis’s influence. John highlights Dennis’s role as a great leader, teacher, mentor, and friend, always appreciating his witty sense of humor.

His leadership was further exemplified during his time as president of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity at the University of Louisville in 1973, where he embodied the fraternity’s ideals of learning, leading, and serving.
An adventurous spirit, Dennis loved skiing and white water rafting, viewing these as a metaphor for life’s unpredictable journey. His love for adventure was a testament to his ability to overcome obstacles and embrace challenges with courage and resilience.
